Hi, I’m Josie. I am a senior double majoring in Journalism and English, and am pretty pumped about this whole thing we got going here.
So, a little about me…
I’ve never been good at giving speeches, and am not the best at captivating a room by my voice, but one thing I think I can do pretty decently is write. I originally started my blog when I was required to for a class almost four years ago, but have since written my own blogs on things outside of academia. These “things” are just that – small, individual things. There are no specific themes, no real topics, and there’s no real style of writing. Hopefully you don’t think this means that I don’t know much, but instead that I know a little bit about a lot of stuff, or have a lot of thoughts about a little bit of the world.
The goal of my blog has always been to talk about stuff that everyone can relate to on some level, and that’s what I will strive to continue to do here. Even if the topic of a specific blog doesn’t revolve around an experience someone had, something inside the post is relatable. You may not be a 21-year-old girl from a suburb in Minnesota, with three brothers, but I feel like your own life story could still in some way be related to mine. And I know I am no Babe Walker (if you don’t know who that is and are interested in really, really good bloggers, go here: http://www.babewalker.com/) but I do try to relate to all of those other 20somethings exploring new writers on the Internet.
This site chalk full of all of our ideas is going to be awesome, so hope you enjoy. And if you’re interested in coffee, animals, technology, holidays, or anything not remotely related to any of these things, check out my blogs. I hope you find something you like so you stick around!
